Vale Mark O’Neill

It is with great sadness that we write to inform you that Mark passed away Wednesday 7th September. Mark had, for many decades, actively contributed to the development and ongoing success of our sport, both here in the ACT and nationally. Mark was our fourth life member, and last year was awarded ABSC life membership. He leaves behind a legacy and will be fondly remembered by us all. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Mark’s funeral is at Norwood Park, 65 Sandford St, Mitchell, 10:30am Friday 7th October.

Social snooker nights

The BSAACT committee is running a new social snooker competition, starting Monday 5th September. These social hits will run on the 1st and 3rd Monday every month at the Burns Club. No score sheets, no comp rules, no dress code, just turn up any time from 7pm onwards rain hail or shine and you’re guaranteed at least two games! No need to register or let us know beforehand – just turn up on the night and have fun.

Non-members are also welcome so please spread the word. This is a great way to introduce new players to our sport.

New and existing members need to fill out a Membership Form so our Membership Records reflect our legal requirements in relation to our Membership Register. Committee members will sign any returned form so there will be no need to find a member to nominate and second their Membership Form.

BSAACT anti-doping policy
