For the Winter Snooker season, the BSAACT Competition Rules apply, with the following sub-rules:
- As there have been only been 3 team nominations for A Grade, and 5 nominations in B Grade, a draw has been made to allow a different B grade team each week to play the ‘spare’ A grade team. At the end of the ‘home-and away’ rounds every A grade team and every B grade team will have played each other at least once.
- The 3 A grade teams play the usual 4 X ‘best-of-three frame’ games, with the same points allocation, including when playing a B grade team. The 5 B grade teams play the usual 8 frame Match.
- The B grade teams that are drawn against an A grade side receive 4 points for playing and one point for each GAME they win. The A grade teams that are drawn against a B grade team and don’t play the draw will be given the penalties described in Competition Rules, section I.
- In an attempt to make the matches as competitive as possible a loading will be placed on players dependent on their individual grade.
So: ‘A’ grade players give ‘B’ grade players 25 points per frame.
‘A’ grade players give ‘C’ grade players 40 points per frame.
‘B’ grade players give ‘C’ grade players 20 points per frame.
As there are only 2 venues available for at least the first month of competition, there will be no ‘HOME’ teams. The first named team in each draw is the Home team for that evening, no matter which teams are competing.
All matches are to commence by 7.30pm, but may start earlier by mutual consent of teams.
